VACATIONING WITH YOUR PETS
Every day I see people including their pets when they go on vacation. I try to do the same with our dog Cooper. In fact, the first time we took Cooper on vacation with us I totally forgot to do my research to ensure the safety and health of my little buddy. So, we got to our destination, which was a big hot city in the desert with smoking hot sidewalks, dog parks with little shade and over 100-degree temps during the day. I felt like an epic failure. At that point my husband and I were very limited in what we could do to not only entertain our dog but enjoy our getaway as well. Note to self. Do not wait until you get to your destination to find appropriate activities for your pet. And what’s the point of taking your pet on vacation if you’re just going to leave them in a strange hotel room. Pets have anxiety issues just like their humans so you should take that into consideration when planning your vacation with your pet. Arizona is a dangerous place for pets who are going to be outside hiking and sightseeing. Read on to discover the many pet-friendly places and activities that you can do to not only ensure that your pet is safe from the heat but also allow you the best opportunity to experience Sedona with your furry friend.
